East Park, HullSunday 25th June 2006 |
To celebrate the reopening of East Park, after it's refurbishment, the City Council organised a week long programme of events which included the Lord Mayor's Parade, a visit by the celebrity gardener Kim Wilde, and a concert by the East Yorkshire Motor Services Brass Band. Unfortunately the England game kicked off as with our concert finished, so the audience rather dwindled as the second half progressed.

During the concert Kathy had arranged for her Dad to take a few pictures. Like a good Dad he had to have a little practice first!

Warm up time for Kirsty.

Stewart and Dixon in an action pose for the camera.

The Back Row - Kirsty, Julia, Danny, and Mick Kennedy.

Andrew Kennedy - helping out on 2nd Euphonium.

The front row (male) sit ready to start, whilst the back row organised by two ladies appear to have lost their music.

Alison and Kathy smile for the camera, whilst something obviously distracted the trombone section.

The other half of the horn section, Barry and Alice.

Nothing like putting your playing under close scrutiny.

Why can't Jo and John open their eyes at the same time?

Perhaps we were playing Swan Lake!

Steve shows off his virtuosic cornet playing in La Belle Americaine.

So about that cornet playing Steve?
