Toccata - Effective start with good attention to detail and a real sense of malice. D) intonation in muted lines not 100%, but impressive dynamic contrast is noted. F) seems to lose a little tempo, but soon recovers. A fine close to the movement.
Interlude - This flows well, but small inaccuracies in ensemble and dynamic detract a little. Well done Solo Trombone - this has great poise. Letter J) well balanced and the subtle changes in tempo are extremely effective - a good fluid approach. Two before L) a little insecure. Suspect intonation to close.
Finale - A ruthless, exciting introduction, with some impressive technical playing. S) fine duet lines with effective lontano. Some moments of unease and lacking in power at times, but the detail is heard and appreciated.
A well directed performance, with moments of beauty in the second movement in particular. Thank you.

Toccata - Not unanimous in semiquavers but good bite as we proceed. I could take more ff at two before C) Trombones. Rhythmic playing. Effective playing from G) through to the close - steady tempo noted.
Interlude - Safe opening, more contrast would help. Trombone soloist plays with good style and sound, and the music flows. H) good movement (as marked). Two bars after H) uncomfortable with intonation, good attempt soloist at pianissimo. Well done Flugel and Solo Cornet. J) effective, well done. Very musical from K) all detail noted. Two before L) a little bumpy Baritones. Well done Trombone, particularly at the diminuendo to pianissimo. Good close.
Finale - Wise tempo chosen, most of the detail heard. All entries secure from O). Most of the technical demands are met. Distant fanfare well done. One or two loose moments from V). Good Percussion if a little loud (but you are right, band is weak!).
Overall a workman like performance with some good musical moments (Good Trombone Solo).
