Quiz Night

23rd March 2007

On Friday, the 23rd March, the Band held a Quiz/Fundraising evening at the Ideal Sports and Social Club in Hull. Organised by Kirsty Fox and Melanie Kennedy, this evening was a great success, with the emphasis on the Fun in Fundraising.

Pete and Jane Wilson tackle the hardest question - whose turn is it to get the beers in!

Margaret, Katherine, and Jo, looking quietly confident before the quiz starts  - but this mixture of youth and experience didn't pay off when the answers were revealed.

The rest of the team? John tries to hide and avoid the tag of 'experience' in this mixture of youth and experience.

Quiz? What quiz.

Go away, we don't want our answer sheet photographing.

Knowing that several cameras were present, Steve should have chosen his background more carefully - or changed his make up.

No it's not cold - that's just Liz being Liz!

Answer the questions , don't just colour it in!

Our Sponsor, M. C., and Quizmaster for the evening.

Here Peter gives a quick rendition of Paddy McGinty's Goat.

On paper, probably the strongest team of the night. In reality, with Alison as captain........

The team from the four corners of the Globe - Steve (New Zealand), Neil (Pontefract), Alice (Holland), and Danny (Costa del Humber).

Obviously, this was a hard question judging by the closed eyes, furrowed brows, and scratched heads.

(The question was, fill in the missing word in the name of these well known cartoon characters - Tom and ......)

What is Barry doing?

The same as Steve, trying to get a pound coin nearest to the bottle of whisky.

Kirsty gives the answers to the well known faces of Hull competition.

What do you mean 'We was robbed'? This is a quiz not a contest!

The quiz winners - The Codgers In The Corner. A winning combination of age and experience, and age and experience!
