Senior Cup - Blackpool 11th May 2002 |
Held as part of the Spring Festival, the Senior Cup is the qualifying contest for the Grand Shield, which in turn is the qualifying contest for the British Open. The Band had been relegated from the Grand Shield in 2001, so a good performance was important. Not only did the Band give a good performance, they also gave a winning performance, so bounced straight back in to the Grand Shield for 2003. The test piece was La Carnaval Romain.

Nick and Navigator, lost in Popple Street!

Mmm? Do I ask for a full one, or a wafer?

Deans birthday cake and strippogram arrive!

Oh no, not a full cake, I couldn't........... oh go on then!

Having seen the knife, the stripper wisely stayed dressed.

It was also young Mr Oglesby's birthday. Taken just before the cake and face had a close encounter.

The Winners.

The Champions

The Winning Band

Yes!! Numero Uno

I think it was the photographer that was on a slant - not Mr, Mrs and Master Fox (Oh yes, and the trophy).

Without Nick, our driver, and the fantastic support given by The East Yorkshire Motor Services Group, we would not have got to Blackpool. Thank you, and well done to everyone who contributed to our success.
