Awards

At the Band's annual awards evening, three awards are currently presented to members of the Band.

The 'Presidents Award For Outstanding Contribution' is decided upon by a vote by members of the Band. First presented in 1993, this award was conferred on four occasions before the awards evening was missed for several years, until being reinstated in 2006.

The 'Most Improved Musician Award' is decided upon by the Band's conductor. First awarded in 2006, it was not presented in 2008 as the Band at that time didn't have a permanent conductor in post to make the decision.

The 'Players Player Of The Year Award' is decided by the Band in a secret ballot. This award was first presented in 2008.
